Posting Tips

Washer repair sometimes can be complicated so it is very important that you post all the details you can such as what is wrong, what you have tried, approximate age of the washer, brand, and most importantly, the model number. Please do not leave out the model number for it is very important when answering washer repair questions. Typically, the model number on most washers can be found by lifting the lid or opening the door. Just under the lid or just inside the door you should see a tag with the model number and serial number. However, some washers have the model number on the back at the very top of the back splash. You should be able to see it without pulling it out. Owner’s manuals have partial model numbers, but use the model number off the owner’s manual only as a last resort.
