Hi,

Replacement parts in General Electric DPXQ473ET0WW Electric dryer

There are five bearings that will typically cause this type of noise on this dryer. There are four slide bearings that that the tub rides on at the front and one drum bearing at the center of the tub at the rear.

The front slide bearing normally will not become noisy unless they are completely worn off but if your dryer has any age on it, it is best to replace the slides when you dissemble it.

The rear bearing can cause this problem even if it isn’t completely gone.

The idler pulley can cause this problem but it is not nearly as common.
