Sounds Like a Main Board Problem
by: Shawn/Admin

It sounds like a main board problem. If when you attempt to dispense water or ice the entire refrigerator shuts down fans, compressor and the lights dim the main board is definitely bad.

Also the clicking noise is most likely coming from the main board. If it is a steady click, click, click with very little pause the main board is bad. Now if it is a click then a pause for a few minutes then another click it could be something else.

I left you a link to the main board above.

To access the dispenser you just prize out on the control panel from the bottom with a screwdriver. Then remove the housing by removing the four screws.
