MDB9150AWB

I have a Maytag Jetclean EQ Dishwasher Model# MDB9150AWB All wash cycles- timer gets stuck and the number clicks/flashes in display - usually at 68-70 minutes. Then it won't drain. Unplug to reset, put on rinse cycle. Works fine and drains, however, resetting will not change things with wash cycle. Is this a quick fix? Or do I need new $112.00 PCB assembly? Repair vs. buying new? Thank you for your time, being a single female and not having a clue on this, I appreciate your site, and I'm a quick learner :)

Answer

Hi,

It seems like the control is the problem but what you need to do is remove the toe plate at the bottom of the dishwasher and look for the service mini manual. On some dishwashers flashing lights mean the control has detected a fault code. Read the manual and see if your dishwasher has such fault codes, which could lead to a “quick fix”. If not then I am almost sure the control is the problem. As for repair or replace this is not for me to decide. Price the part and weigh you options. Take into consideration that you can’t be 100% sure the control is the problem unless the mini manual can shed more light on the problem.

Thank you,
