How do I replace the spray arm?

I'm trying to replace the spray arm assembly (AP2039850) on my GE Profile dishwasher (GSE4920Z02BB). I was able to get the spray arm off the hub (breaking the two tabs off the hub in the process), but I don't know how to remove the hub. From the looks of the new hub, the old one should just unscrew, but it only moves back and forth about a quarter inch. Is there something holding it in place, or is it just crud buildup? What should I do next to get the hub off?

Answer

Hi

It should unscrew. Sometimes I can do it by hand and sometimes I use a screw driver by inserting it into the hole and use it as leverage to turn it out.
