dishwasher lights on, won't start

The lights come on when I push the button for any of the cycles including the drain/cancel. It won't however start or fill with water or anything. Is this a cylanoid problem or what?

Hi Debbie,

I need the model number to tell you anything for sure but some models have a control lock. Make sure it isn’t locked.

Also commonly with this type of problem the washer is resetting in which case close the door and wait for at least 3 minutes before trying it again.

On some models the control will be confused so to speak. If this is the case disconnect the power for a minute or so and then try it again.
