Not dispensing ice. Motor does not even come on.
Whirlpool side by side UlatraEase. Answer Hi, Open the freezer door, remove the ice bin and press the lever to dispense ice. If you hear a faint buzzing noise the auger motor may be frozen. Remove it and defrost it with a hair drier. If you do not hear anything the problem is most likely electrical. This can be a bad switch or a loose connection. Since it will dispense water we can assume it is not the switch. Check for a loose connection at the door hinge on the top of the refrigerator. There should be a plug that connects under the door hinge cover that can cause this problem. Just make sure it is plugged in good. If that doesn’t help you will have access the auger motor housing and check for loose connections there. I hope this helps!! Thank you, Shawn/administrator |
